    minutes by car and about
    a 10 minute walk from the
    cottage. They have a cozy
    enclosed beer garden
    and, the Juke box is
    always playing something
    cool.
    This quaint cafe is
    owned by your hosts,
    and is only three minutes
    from the cottage by car,
    or a serene 20 minute
    walk through parkland.

The Lion & The Rose

    This is a great English style pub with a
    large variety of beers, and a broad menu
    of traditional English style foods.  If you
    enjoy having a few drinks while enjoying
    your favorite sport this is the place to go.  
    About 10 minutes drive to the heart of
    Alamo Heights and you are there.  A bit
    far to walk far to walk but if you were to
    make a night of it, a cab wouldn't break
    the bank..

    This Mexican Restaurant is minutes
    away from the cottage, and offers an
    extensive menu, authentic Mexican foods,
    deliciously presented in a comfortable
    environment.  The service is excellent
    and their menu is moderately priced,
